Street champions, they promise to report if you recycle or not. What does Britain want? To create the paranoia that reigned in the USSR? How does turning neighbour against neighbour help the country? All it does is protect the politicians from the anger of the people and direct it at each other.

I don't want to get into government conspiracies and such, because that takes it a bit to far.
What is really disgusting is that they believe this is necessary. That society has gotten so low that they have to train people to complain about things that are wrong.
Well, that really is just sickening.
"Luton Borough Council's Street Seen scheme encourages its 650 volunteers to report 'environmental concerns'. It is also recruiting 'Junior Street Champions', aged between seven and 11."
Have you read Orwell's boook '1984'? This sounds awfully familiar...
"Volunteers are given a list of things to do when confronted with fly-tippers, including taking photos 'without being seen'."
Yay, free stalker training. How could that backfire?
"A spokesman for the Local Government Association said: 'Environment volunteers are people who care passionately about their local area and want to protect it from vandals, graffitists and fly-tippers."
So should I be snooping around for behavior that I want to protect my neighborhood from, like homosexuality and ugly sweaters? Things like this are opinions. In my opinion, all the money we waste on recycling should be spent on developing materials that don't need to be recycled. Should I be punished for that? Here I thought I had rights...
I do not really consider it a government conspiracy theory, when they are clearly training people to be their spy's. Thats what the USSR and Nazi germany did.
